Below in a pure fractal, with no post processing, not even one pixel.

I have, what I think is an important point here, both for artists who use fractal programs and also for mathematicians.
That is, a fractal program is simply one that takes a certain type of mathematical data and creates images from that data.
The results can look like anything, depending on the "formula",  "filters", and other "settings" employed.
The results do not have to have the normal characteristics ascribed to fractals.  I am not talking about
newer programs that employ filters, just simple basic fractal programs.  So, any artist, if he or she wants,
can get much more from a fractal program with intense study and practice.
I only use Tierazon 2.7.

Speaking of formulas.  A mathematical algorithm can have symmetry, character, style,
and beauty, just in itself  (especially to mathematicians).   My formulas do not.
They are ugly and illogical looking and some are over 100 characters long,
making no sense, whatsoever.  I do whatever oddball thing I have
to do to get the image to look like I want.
And, usually, that is just a starting point,
from which I then go to
Photoshop.

The image below was created by modifying an original fractal formula, and manipulating
the formula, colors and other parameters.  It no longer has the normal characteristics of what
one normally attributes to fractals, but it is still a pure fractal, with zero post processing.  The actual size
is 24 x 36 inches at 300 ppi.

Click on the image to see where it came from.
(a short 20 second AVI movie)

It should be instructive and interesting to artists, to see a different type
of image that can be obtained with fractal software, and hopefully
worth your wait for the download.
