CONCERNING ORIGINAL DIGITAL PAINTINGS
(MY HOBBY)
I like to create original digital art or
original digital paintings from photographs. I kind of think, that if you
are going to do digital paintings, they should be digital paintings. I
don't understand trying to make your work look like oil paintings or
watercolors. But each to his or her own kick. Below is a work in
progress, which I have to finalize when I get a chance.
It
started out as a photograph, but the colors are now more saturated and more like
a fall
scene really feels to me. Or, maybe as I visualize it. Anyway, it is
not a photograph anymore, and the difference pleases me. The point of this page is to show a work
that is definitely a digital painting and not one trying to look like an oil or
watercolor.
I am not stating this very well. Hmmm-- At max zoom, look closely at the details in the
green bark, the white
birch, and the sky in the two upper corners. It would be practically
impossible to achieve that look or detail with either oils or watercolors.
You just can't do that with brush generated art. At half zoom you will see
the whole image as if it was 30 inches wide, and at full zoom, 72 inches
I am certain that there will be a greater
perceived value for a digital work that is obviously digital, as opposed to a
digital work that is trying to pretend to emulate something else.

Note: At the higher zoom levels it takes the image a few seconds to sharpen up.
If the zoom does not work in your browser, below is a detail.
